⚖️ 1800 Tones in total 😱
This post goes to @rivercleanup. They started back in 2017 in Belgium, dedicating just 10 minutes to pick up trash ♻️. They soon realized that when you pick up someone else’s trash, something changes💡… you change! You start to see it and realize it’s literally everywhere 🌍. This was the trigger for Thomas and the team to create what we know now today as @rivercleanup 💙. In 2018 they managed to onboard 10K volunteers 👨👩👧👦 cleaning the river Rhine. Rapidly next year 10 big rivers from Europe and Asia were covered by River Cleanup!
Not only they clean with volunteers but also combining technology 🔩 during their missions; devices such as the River Skimmer, the Trashboombs or the River Whale ⚙️ are some of their technological developments used to speed up rivers cleaning process 🏞.
It’s so inspiring to see how an organization with a beautiful purpose has taken the right steps to make the biggest possible impact 🌐💚, keeping the focus of cleaning up and their principles intact 🥰. Up until today, they have registered a total of 150642 volunteers 👨👩👧👦 adding a crazy figure of 1,8 Tousand Tonnes ⚖️ of trash that won’t be in Nature anymore.
Thank you, @rivercleanup, for many more impactful years to come 🤜🤛. Keep on spreading love & change across the globe, we are all in this together 💚💙 Let’s #cleansomethingfornothing #CSFN #rivercleanup
