CSFN at the Festival FrancoFolies Esch/Alzette

Sustainability at FrancoFolies

Last weekend, Clean Something For Nothing made a difference at the Festival FrancoFolies de Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. This festival stood out from the start for its commitment to sustainability, minimizing waste generation to the fullest and setting an example for other eco-friendly events. 🎶

Community Engagement

We partnered with our friends at Pick It Up Luxembourg 💚 and welcomed Elisha from the #EUClimatePact to discuss waste management at festivals. While some enjoyed music and dancing, we also embraced the festive atmosphere while actively contributing to environmental care. ✨

Impactful Results

Thanks to the organizers’ sustainability initiative, there was hardly any visible litter, showcasing effective environmental management practices. CSFN participated in the final festival cleanup, removing bottles and cans that had been abandoned in the forest for months, totaling only 123 kg of waste collected. 😮 This achievement is particularly remarkable given the approximately 40,000 attendees at the event.

It was a true pleasure to collaborate with FrancoFolies Esch-sur-Alzette, alongside Pick It Up and Shime’s cigarette butt recycling station 💚. This experience highlights the power of joining forces to promote sustainability and leave a positive legacy for future events.
