βοΈ 1,800 Tons collected ποΈβ¨
This post is dedicated to @rivercleanup πΏβ¨. They started back in 2017, in Belgium, by dedicating just 10 minutes to picking up trash β»οΈ. Quickly, they realized something powerful: when you pick up someone elseβs trash, you change π. You begin to see it everywhere, and that awareness becomes a catalyst for action πβ¨.
In 2018, they onboarded 10,000 volunteers π₯ to clean the River Rhine π. By the very next year, 10 major rivers across Europe and Asia were part of their mission ππͺ.
π‘ Tech-Driven Cleanups:
Not only do they mobilize volunteers, but they also leverage technology during their missions. Some of their innovative tools include:
- River Skimmer
- Trashboombs
- River Whale
These technological developments make the cleanup process faster and more efficient βοΈβ¨.
β¨ Impact Highlights:
βοΈ 150.642 volunteers mobilized
βοΈ 1.800 tons of trash removed ποΈ
βοΈ A global movement to protect rivers ππ§
Itβs truly inspiring to see how @rivercleanup has taken the right steps to create maximum impact, all while staying true to their principles and vision π.
Thank you, @rivercleanup, for all youβve done and for the many impactful years ahead π. Together, letβs continue to spread love and drive change around the globe π.
