The sun was shining, music was playing, and the vibes were just right. On Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., we kicked off our Earth Day 2025 celebration in Luxembourg with our friends from T’EES – Luxembourg’s best iced tea. Together, we hosted a very special edition of “Clean N’ Learn” in Hollerich, and wow, what an afternoon it was!
Volunteers started arriving early, some dancing to the music as they geared up with gloves, bags, and bright smiles. After welcoming everyone, César from CSFN opened the event by sharing why we do what we do: reconnecting people with nature, one bag of trash at a time. Then Aleks, one of the three inspiring founders of T’EES, stepped in to tell their story – about how a simple drink can carry a bigger purpose.
We split into two crews – one led by Abdul and the other by César, and hit the streets around Hollerich Church and all the way to the P+R Bouillon. In just under 90 minutes, this amazing crew collected 43,5 kg of litter, including a wild 3400 cigarette butts picked up one by one that will be recycled and transformed into urban furniture by the company Shime. But that’s not all: every single kilo meant one tree planted by T’EES, adding up to 43 new trees for the planet 🌱.
When the work was done, the real celebration began. We shared laughs, snacks, and – of course – ice-cold T’EES tea while dancing and chatting under the warm spring sun. We weighed the trash, snapped our big group photo, and felt that beautiful buzz that only comes from doing something good together.
Earth Day isn’t just a date – it’s a feeling. And in a busy place like Hollerich, moments like these show that real change starts right here, with us.
