A corporate cleanup day in Luxembourg has become one of the most-requested team building activities for companies based in the country. The format is straightforward: a 2-hour outdoor activity run with a CSFN team leader, in a litter-prone area near your office, that produces both a visibly cleaner space and an impact report your CSR team can use afterwards. This guide walks through what to consider before booking, how the day is structured and what is included.
Why corporate cleanup days work for Luxembourg teams
Luxembourg has one of the most international workforces in Europe. Teams are scattered between Kirchberg, the city centre, Bourmicht and home offices across the Greater Region. Bringing them together in person takes more effort than it used to.
Cleanup days work because the outcome at the end of the day is physical: full bags, weighed and counted. CSFN has run cleanups with companies including Fujitsu, A&O Shearman, Dachser, IKO Real Estate, Quintet Private Bank, ERGO and Accenture. The format scales across team sizes and industries and pulls in IMS Luxembourg member companies at a steady pace.

What to consider before booking
Four basics shape the day:
- Team size and budget. Pricing is €50 per participant (excluding VAT), with a €1000 minimum for groups under 20 participants.
- Goal. We make sure participants have fun, learn about the littering problem and leave the event with a different mindset and the belief that small individual actions do matter.
- Date. Anchoring the day to a calendar event (Earth Day in April, World Environment Day on June 5, World Cleanup Day on September 20) adds an external narrative hook.
- Location. CSFN identifies a litter-prone area near your office and agrees the spot with you in advance.
How a CSFN cleanup day is structured
The full day runs 2 hours, broken into three blocks:
- 15 min introduction. Littering overview, CSFN mission, materials distributed, safety briefing and a quick explanation of waste sorting.
- 1 hour 30 min cleanup. Guided by a CSFN team leader. Participants spread out across the agreed zone.
- 15 min wrap-up. Trash weigh-in, team photo and a closing moment with local drinks.
What is included
- Mini festival setting on site: CSFN banner, beach flag and table.
- All equipment: vests, gloves, bags, hoops and pickers.
- Music (very important)
- General liability insurance for every participant.
- Local drinks: water, apple juice and beer.
- One tree planted for every kilogram of trash collected during the event
- A certificate of support for the trees planted.
- Disposal of the trash bags: cigarette butts are recycled into urban furniture with our partner Shime.
- A one-page impact report (A4) after the event.
- A detailed online report detailing the trees planted with our partner OneSeed
Where cleanups happen in Luxembourg
The location is agreed jointly with CSFN, based on what is close to your premises and what genuinely needs cleaning. Common settings include the green corridors around Kirchberg, Luxembourg city parks, the Bourmicht business park area, the banks of the Alzette and forest trails.
Turning the day into ESG-grade documentation
The impact report covers kilograms collected, photos, the number of participants, location, date and a short narrative of the day. CSFN is featured on the European Climate Pact’s EU Climate Action Academy, which adds an independent reference point for sustainability leads building the case internally.
If you want to add tree-planting impact on top
The cleanup day itself already includes one tree planted per kilogram collected, at no extra cost. If you want to sponsor planting and cleanups at a larger scale, beyond the day’s collected weight, Pick N’ Plant runs as a separate sponsorship offer at €3 per kilogram plus tree pairing. Pick N’ Plant is a standalone product; it is not a default add-on to the cleanup event. With this program, your company is part of the change motivating thousands of users across 84 coutries to clean more.
