River Cleanup πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ

πŸ“ From Belgium πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ (To the world🌍)
βš–οΈ 1800 Tones in total 😱

This post goes toΒ @rivercleanup. They started back in 2017 in Belgium, dedicating just 10 minutes to pick up trash ♻️. They soon realized that when you pick up someone else’s trash, something changesπŸ’‘β€¦ you change! You start to see it and realize it’s literally everywhere 🌍. This was the trigger for Thomas and the team to create what we know now today asΒ @rivercleanupΒ πŸ’™. In 2018 they managed to onboard 10K volunteers πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ cleaning the river Rhine. Rapidly next year 10 big rivers from Europe and Asia were covered by River Cleanup!

Not only they clean with volunteers but also combining technology πŸ”© during their missions; devices such as the River Skimmer, the Trashboombs or the River Whale βš™οΈ are some of their technological developments used to speed up rivers cleaning process 🏞.

It’s so inspiring to see how an organization with a beautiful purpose has taken the right steps to make the biggest possible impact πŸŒπŸ’š, keeping the focus of cleaning up and their principles intact πŸ₯°. Up until today, they have registered a total of 150642 volunteers πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ adding a crazy figure of 1,8 Tousand Tonnes βš–οΈ of trash that won’t be in Nature anymore.
Thank you,Β @rivercleanup, for many more impactful years to come πŸ€œπŸ€›. Keep on spreading love & change across the globe, we are all in this together πŸ’šπŸ’™ Let’sΒ #cleansomethingfornothingΒ #CSFNΒ #rivercleanup
